Serve Veterans, Honor Their Service

Operation: Veteran Connect pairs dedicated volunteers with veterans and military families across Tampa Bay to offer support, encouragement, and connections to vital resources. Through weekly service, volunteers help veterans navigate challenges like healthcare, housing, and hunger, providing guidance, dignity, and a listening ear along the way.

Be a Lifeline for a Local Veteran in Need

Too many veterans face their battles alone. Operation: Veteran Connect ensures they don’t have to. By building trust and eliminating the stigma around asking for help, this program empowers those who served to live healthier, more hopeful lives proving that the mission of service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off. With ongoing training and support from Seniors in Service, you’ll have the tools to make a profound difference.

The Power of Connecting Veterans

For Shanique, a military veteran, healing began with a jiu-jitsu class through Operation: Veteran Connect. After experiencing trauma that left her feeling isolated and unable to connect, especially with men, her one-on-one sessions with volunteer Saulo helped her rebuild trust, confidence, and strength. Today, Shanique is empowered and ready to move forward, thanks to the powerful bond and support of a fellow veteran.

For Navy veteran Christian, Operation: Veteran Connect has been a lifesaver. After Hurricane Milton destroyed the roof of his home, Christian found himself living in a hotel. Though relieved to finally move into permanent housing, he arrived to four empty walls and no belongings. Christian, who works multiple jobs helping other veterans, shared, “Having a peaceful home is extremely important for your mental health.” Thanks to Operation: Veteran Connect, he now has a furnished space and the stability to focus on giving back to others.
